Description:
On July 1, 2018 on the Trail Mountain Fire on the Manti-La Sal National Forest, a contract firefighter received 2nd degree burns on his arm and calf when he stepped into a burning stump hole. He was treated on scene by U.S. Forest Service EMTs and transported via air ambulanced to the University of Utah Hospital. The firefighter was treated and released the next day.
