  • Description:

    Firefighter was patrolling the fireline on the Wilbur Fire (Arizona) when they stepped up on an unstable rock, and lost footing. Patient described rolling the right ankle and hearing a "pop". After ground-transport to the hospital with an assigned ambulance, the firefighter was diagnosed with a fractured bone in the right foot.  The firefighter was treated and released the same day and has been demobilized to the home unit with instructions to follow-up with orthopedist in 4-7 days.
