    On Wednesday, July 18, 2007, a Boise District Office employee was injured while operating an ATV during wildland fire suppression operations. As a member of the Fuels Crew tasked to perform burnout operations behind a dozer fireline, the employee was operating an ATV with a group of six ATV’s. While traversing a slope on an ATV-designated trail, the employee’s ATV rolled to the left down a steep slope. The employee received injury to his left side pelvic region. The employee was stabilized by his crew members and transported by air ambulance helicopter to a local hospital.
